ARP wheel stud

ARP wheel stud How do I put the ARP wheel studs in the rear? I know how to replace the stock ones because there is a groove to place the head of the stud and slide it thru the wheel hub. Do I have to remove the axle to place them in? BTW the ARP studs are 2 1/2" so I can't wiggle them in if I tried all day. I
