bigger wheels less performance?
these are what i was looking at http://tomzwheels.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id/247
is that a good price (its a sponsor) and would i need to do anything to my car to make em fit? its a 99 with 16's now
thanks again
Because if you're going with a taller tire then stock on a heavier weight wheel then all those aspects will probably suffer in a negative way.
Now if you're going with a tire thats near, or really close to stock height on a lightweight racing wheel like Fikse', then you will probably improve in some of those same areas in a positive way.
But if you are really that worried about it then don't get them.
Cornering wise, an 18" is going to help since there is less sidewall to flex.
Also, I STRONGLY suggect 18" on all four corners. IMHO 17 /18 combos just look wrong on F-Cars.

For a 10.5 like you're looking at - I'd say at least a 305. Most tire manufacturers I'd say would recommend a 275 for a 9 - 9.5" rim, while a 295 or 305 is recommend for a 10.5" rim.
Go with 18x9.5 (275/35/18 tires) all around for no mods, direct bolt on
Go with 18x9.5 front (275/35/18), 18x10.5 (295/35/18) rear for best looks and more "grab", only requiring you to trim the bump stop in the rear. Many write ups on this--even on google.
(least I never have lol)
