Bang
One of the factory original Goodyears let go. They had 32,200 on 'em.
Goodyear said I should replace them between 30-35,000 and they were sorry it happened.
The tire blew out (or cut after it blew out) around the entire diameter. The good news was two things, 1. I was only going 65 or so and 2. The sidewall held up well enough to ease it over to the shoulder and didn't mess up the wheel at all.
Monday I went and bought four new BFG KDWS. Saved about $250 over the Goodyear F1 GS, total. Seems like a pretty good tire too.

Side note.
At 30k, Courtesy Chevrolet (San Jose, CA), rotated and balanced my wheels at which time they pounded weights on the outside of the wheels (big duh).
I noticed the weights after a 1,000 or so mile trip on vacation so I had them take them off and redo them with stick on weights on the inside of the wheels (I shouldn't have had to teach them to do it that way I don't think but whatever).
I now suspect they may also have had the tires on wrong directionally for that 1,000 miles. I won't ever know for sure.
What else have they done wrong? hmmm.
Put the wrong oil in it (dino, even though it says all over the car Mobil 1).
Scratched one quarter panel when doing the sail panel and had to repaint same.
They are now 3 for 3 in screw-ups.
They did do the sail panel though, so that's a definite plus for them. And me.
I always prefer to put tires on my vehicles myself or at least re-torque them to make sure they aren't tightened beyond spec. Like to do my own oil changes too, that way there is no question about what goes in.
