Which will hook better?

Which will hook better? I have two sets of rear wheels, my stockers with 255/40 r16 bfg's DR's and some zr1's with 315 r17 nitto's. Im wanting to know which will hook better at the track.
The bfg's have a reputation as hooking better than the nitto's, but my nittos are quite a bit fatter. Also im not sure if it matters but my bfg's are 26.1 in diameter while the nitto's are 25.7. My computer was tuned for the 26.1...so im not sure if thats something to worry about with my shift points (A4).
The nitto's are pretty much brand new while the bfg's have some wear on them. Honestly if possible i would rather keep the nittos new, but if they have the advantage i'll run em.
