He just need to hurry up LOLFirst off, i ordered that set from my local Chevy dealer (part # 12498899) the same day I read this tread (like a couple hours before actually). At first, the parts manager called 2 places before he could find the warehouse that actually could call up that part number. Once he was able to match the part number, he couldn't get over the fact that you can get all 4 wheels, lugnuts, lugnut covers, and center caps for that price. So, i got home all happy and everything. However, once I read your response, my heart started to pound thinking that I just got ripped off.
So, today comes along, and i get a call from the dealer telling me that my wheels are in, so, I drive down there to pick them up. When i get there, i proceeded to ask him questions based on what i read in this tread in regards to defects, no GM stamp, etc. and this is what he told me.....
First off, the rims are NOT remanufactured. If they were, they 1) would of needed to be indicated in the item description and 2) wouldn't of come from GM directly. Yes, you CAN get remanufactured wheels thru a dealer, but, they would come from a remanufacturer (at a fraction of the cost) 3) if there were any defects with any of the rims, the dealer said that they would put a claim in for me....................So, to make sure I didn't get junky rims, i opened each box (which were all nicely packaged btw) and looked at each rim individually. There IS the GM stamp on them.......I couldnt find ANYTHING wrong with the clearcoat/paintjob and all the accessories was included as indicated in the description. HOWEVER! I did noticed a VERY, and I mean VERY small blemish (like someone took a pin and poked it) in the clearcoat on the face of one of the rims. You need to be within 12" to even be able to notice it. So, not to argue with your story, but, I couldn't find anything wrong with these rims. My best guess is that they were refinished because there MIGHT of been an imperfection on them at the assembly line that a quality control person picked out and GM just decided to sell them separately for a fraction of the cost rather than tossing an otherwise perfectly good rim away. All in all, i'm perfectly happy with the rims and i'm glad I was able to get them at this cost.
Thank you.
btw, by ordering them from my local Chevy dealer, i only paid $778 total including tax.

I'll go to the dealership and get them. $778 is not a bad price.
good luck
