Default Prostar Qustion

I was wondering if anyone know's how much you have to grind the calipers down for rear prostars??

A lot. Look at your rear caliper. see the 2 dimples in it? See the crest in the middle? The dimples will turn into little bitty holes, you almost have to grind them smooth. And the outer part of the caliper has to be ground down on the edges. The crest in the middle will be long gone and you will have to almost go into where the pad metal tang thing sticks out. There is way more grinding then you might think. Best way to do this is grind until dimples are almost flush, shoot some paint on there and immediatley stick the prostar on, then try spinning it. If you cant, stick it in gear and spin it a little, then take it off. Every bare spot in the paint you see, just grind and re shoot paint and repeat until you are clear of the caliper. It took me about 2 hours to do both sides until they were cleared. Then up front I stuck on a 1/4in spacer and they were fine.
I was leary when I first did this, but I have not had any problems, so I think its safe to do.

That has me a bit worried, but I guess if all the LS1 guys are doing it to fit those wheels, I should be safe. Didnt know there was that much grinding.

I knew there was alot of grinding but not that much lol.
