Default Quick question for 18" owners

I just ordered my 275/40/18" Sumitomo tires today that are going on my 18x 9.5" ZR1s. I got a call from the tire rack guy saying they might not fit, but he wasn't totally sure. Just before i confirm to have them ship them out, will i run into any problems with these tires? The car is at stock height. Thanks in advance.

It will be close because they are an 1" taller than stock. Have you lowered it any?

The car is at stock height. The 275/40/18's are about a half ince shorter than stock. 4.82 vs 4.33"

They should fit. There was a guy who just got 18" ZR1's on his trans am and he got the same size tire you just ordered. If anything you can go with a 275/35-18 tire. That is the same diameter as stock and rides pretty good. It will look fine.

id would go 275 35 18 to keep you at the factory overall diameter

Bigger diameter tires increase the possiblity with rubbing . . thus my recommendation in your previous post about runnign 275/35ZR18.
