Default Help! Need Tire Advice

Currently running cooper zeon 2xs tires. They handle great in wet and dry weather and have practally no road noise but I only get about 20 to 25K outta them. Is there a tire out there that handles and grips well that last longer than that, and that may possibly has a warranty.-

I know those Cooper Zeons were cost effective except for the mileage. My wife is running them on her 2000 Z28: she puts on so little mileage every year, they should last her a long time.

Look into BFG tires, great performance and they will last if you keep after the tire pressures. But they do cost more. One thing about the BFGs is that they have tons of tire sizes. I bought P275/40R17s for the front and P295/30R18s for the rear on my '87 IROCZ. And I am running P275/40R17s all around on my '99 SS with KDWSs on the front and KDWs on the rear.

Kumhos are also another cost effective tire, like the Coopers.

Yeah i agree. bfg makes a solid tire. if your willing to spend a little extra look into michelin piolit sport a/s. Sorry you had to put up with those damn coopers. they suck. they separate more than any tire i've seen. if you've got a regular compact or mid-size , no big deal, car, stay away from dominators also. they are made by sooper. hope i was of some help.

falkens aren't quite as bad, but if youre a serious driver you should look into something a little better. the perelli p zero nero are an awsome street tire.

falkens are more made for the import and luxury car, they have smaller side walls on most which our cars tend not to like

michelin pilot ps2's is the best street tire you could put on your car, dry and wet

bfg would follow that up....i'd go with the Kdw

sumotomos are also not a bad inexpensive dry tire very good grip

IF you have 17s, the Falken 615s in 275/40 17 are a good tire, but as with anything in this size that's NOT a DR, it is NOT a 60' "supastar"!! NOTHING for street/handling in this size is, although some claim that the Goodyear D3 has the softest sidewalls for launch.
