Default New C6 wheels, rubbing & need spacers?

I just bought a set of C6 wheels for my 99 T/A. They are 18s in the front and 275/35/ZR19s in the rear. Needless to say they are rubbing quite badly. I guess I need spacers for the rear? Anyone have a picture of a T/A with 1" spacers in the rear? Thanks...

Are the OEM wheels, If so you may need a small spacer.

The stock GM C6 19x10 rims have a 79mm offset. I bought a 1.25" spacer (actually adapter) to make them fit on the rear of my '98 Z28.

Bandirector,

Will 1" be enough? You have a picture of your car with the 1.25" installed?

I'm still working out the details on getting my rims installed...I'm now thinking I'm going to go with stock 19x10's all the way around and put spacers at all 4 corners to make sure they don't rub.

Some people say 3/4" is enough, but I went with 1.25" because they look good AND I don't have to grind down any of the wheel studes to make them fit.

Check out the following thread. It contains a pic with someone using 1.25" spacers on the rear and then another guy using just 3/4" spacers on the rear:

i am the one he bought the wheels from. when i had them on my cars, it took some wheel well 'convincing' so they wouldn't rub while driving. the only time they rubbed was when turning a corner and it had an upward angle. this caused the axle to twist and the wheel would hit the bumpstop mounting bulge. a 1" spacer will be more than enough to stop all rubbing.

here's pics of them on both of my cars with no spacers.
