my brother has them on his mustang bullitt and doesnt hook for ****... 315s

i have a set of 4 275s on now and they dont hook very well off a launch..... however on a roll 5-20mph they have minimal spin.... maybe im lacking HP like everyone else but they perform great for the money.... and they are the best performance tire in the rain....

i have a set of sumi 315s on a set of 17x11 zr1s and im hoping ill get at least a little better traction than the 275s... which is plenty

if they still made em I would keep buyin em.. even if they dont hook well... your driving experience is much more exciting and it saves your drivetrain!

I haven't ever used them but I have read A LOT about them over the years. I do plan on getting a set of my own at some point. If you're looking to DD and just enjoy the car on a personal level, going fast here and there, I'm sure they are a great tire. If you're into 'racing' people and enjoy doing some real performance stuff, they'll obviously not satisfy you as much as other tires in a higher price range.

they are fine, and a deal at under $100 for a 315 tire. Perfect If you are just DD'ing . . if you plan on running your car on the track all the time, get something else. I drive like an old man everywhere except for every once in a while i rock em. for shizzle

The 315's are a different type of sumo tire and they do not hook so good! The 1st ones i had and loved, but sucked in cold weather. The 2nd ones are the ones i have now and i lost a little traction but will be great this winter.

Sumitomo HTRZ II is an Ultra High Performance Summer radial good traction

Sumitomo HTR+ is an Ultra High Performance All-Season radial I will be able to used these in cold weather!

Sumitomo HTR Z III (High Technology Radials-3rd generation) is Sumitomo's Max Performance Summer tire. I havent herd anything from them. but do not use in snow ice or really cold weatherno winter used

Sumitomo HTRZ High Performance Summer tires are what you will find in 315's They dont hook so great and do not use in snow ice or really cold weather

I like my Sumitomos. Good daily driver tire. I am actually looking for a new set. I have 315/35/17's in the rear and 275/40/17's in the front. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get these? Mine are like 3 years old and I cant remeber where I got them.

I had 18" HTRZ IIs & liked them. I had them on a '98 A4 car with a mild cam & 3200 stall.

They weren't great @ the track, but I did manage a 1.90 60' with them when I tried them out. Good bang for the buck & they look decent.

I have a pair of HTRZ 315s in the back for daily driving. You can't beat the $97/tire price tag and I have a pair of MT DRs for when I go to the track.

For what its worth I have 245/50/16s on my 1987 Formula 350 (full resto/mod!) and have had to replace 3 of them with less than 2000 miles on them because of belts breaking in them and they got out of round. Sure they are under warrenty but its still aggrevating.

I got them cheap so I guess I got what I paid for....at least I dont feel guilty about burning them off!

I'm happy with my II's. Two seasons on them, still like new. No track time, limited spinning, and mostly dry driving. They work for me. The tread pattern makes the young kids drool.

The new IIIs were tested by Tire Rack and actually scored higher than the Bridgestone Potenza RE050. It appears that they have improved the value even more. Haven't tried any yet, but the new IIIs would be my choice.

I like mine for the money. Theyre great for street duty. Granted theyre easily overpowered, but then again, just about any non-DR tire is.

i have had my htrzII's for about 2 and a half years and i like them..they are real cheap, last a decent amount of time and i am able to even cut 2.0 60's on a set of 275/35/18's. Once i do my h/c swap though i think i will need something a little stickier.

Anyone know where I get two? Tire Rack doesn't show them in a 315/35/17, I guess they don't carry them anymore. That is where I got my last 2 sets.
