Default Quick Wheel Question

i bought a set of 18X9.5 inch ZO6 wheels for my WS6 a few days ago, the tire shop that put them of put a set of MasterCraft 275-35-18n tire on it, i hate the way they look they are way to low profil and it look like a ricer wheel, shouldent i be able to put a 315-40-18n on it, i have the stock ride height so i dont see any reason why that would fit, secondly to MasterCraft tires make my car spin like something with ungodly HP so would a NITTO be a good tire for grip

thanks alot
billy

ok yeah dumb question. On my buddys 01' ss 315/30/18 rubbed on the inside fender we thought about using a spacer but he ended up buying a set of used 3 piece 17x11" wheels and went with nitto drags 315/35/17 in back and 285/40/17 up front

no question is a "dumb" question jerk off. how about you just answer the question instead of putting a little somethin extra in there for him. nobody likes an ***.

yeah bro, it looks like you have to learn the hard way about wheels/tires. what i ended up doing is going with the ZR1's and some P-Zeros. they're awesome.

Might ask this question in the wheels and tire section, would get more response. I don't think a 315x40 will fit on a 9.5 inch rim properly.

1st off 315's do NOT fot a 9.5" wheel . . . and should not be run on 10" wheels either . . .

2nd a 275/35ZR18 is the PREFECT tire to run on a 18" x 9.5" wheel . . . if you feel it looks ricer well I guess you miss the point of going to 18" wheels on a F-Car.

3rd the tire my look "odd" to you since it is a physiacally "undersized" tire. Low end tires are physically smaller that their quality name brand counter parts . . .

The pic above is a 18" x 9.5" with a 275/35ZR18 tire . . .

first off 275 would be good up front but running a 295 is basically flush with the rims. im running the c6 z06 rims and they are 18x9.5's also all round, im running a 275/40/18 in front with a 295/35/18 in front
