What measurments are used to size the tires?

typically you'll see tire measurements like this: 245/50R16... 245 is the tread width in millimeters, 50 is called the "sidewall aspect ratio" meaning that the sidewall is 50% of 245 millimeters tall... the 16 is the diameter of the wheel the tire fits on. Hope this helps.
