Default Quick help please!

I need help fast. Which tires should i get for excellent traction while drag racing on a mostly stock application? I want the Nitto 555R 275s, but will the 315s stick out of the fenderwell too far? Quick help please.

if its the stock wheels and you want a drag radial for mostly street occasional track then nittos esp if its your daily driver.. if its not your daily driver and you dont care about mileage then MT's.

your stock wheels are 9" wide and 315s require a 10.5 width wheel. the widest you can run is a 285 but drag radials only come in 275s. the nittos are the skinniest for 275s and all will stick out from the back with 315s with the biggest factor being the offset of the wheel, then the tire, as i said nittos dont stick out as much because they arent as wide where as the MTs are really wide.

less traction................more traction
nitto r's-------bfg drag radials----------mts
longer life.....................shorter life

make sense?

basically what i want is the best traction for a good price that isnt going to break my rear on the first run. so bfg would be good? if i buy the nittos and go with the 315 how much of a difference would that be from the 275s?

i dont know how many miles are on your car but your car's an m6 and ive blown a rear in my 99 a4 on street tires. I have an m6 now.. If i was you id get the bfg's because they will grip better than the nittos and both will require a good burnout.. I had the nittos in 305/35s though and they hooked quite well when warm, but hands down the bfg has better traction.

Ill go with the M/T's you won't regret it, unless you have a wider rim's and ill go with the bf's drag 315's but make sure do a bfh on your rear before you do that , but then if your suspension is already made for 315's and you should be fine cuz 315's won't just fit on there w/ no bfh.
