The reason people don't put different wheels on is because they're all "me too" lemmings that fear anything "different" or "outside the norm".
Here's my car with Halibrand Grand Sports in chrome, 18x9.5 with 275/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza's

nice high horse you're riding on there.....the same could be said about you and your hockey stripes & manta ray hood. (and just for the record, i happen to like the hockey stripes & manta ray hood).

sure, there are going to be some people that will copy what others have done, but really....who cares? they buy what they like, not what you like.

did you ever think that not everyone wants (or has the money) to spend $2k+ on a set of rims, or to take the chance on some wheels that have not been proven to work for their setup, or go through all the hassle of having to return some wheels if they don't work?

as the saying goes "let he who is without sin cast the first stone".....

i'm not saying that it's not good to try new things, just don't be so judgmental on those who don't want to.....

Amen to that, brother!

BTW, those Halibrands look GREAT, but they're probably way too spendy for me.

Here are my wheels.... I've never seen another F-Body with them...

And for good reason!

I want to nominate myself for "worst wheels EVER".

They came with the car, and the more I look at them, the more I hate them. I can't wait to replace them.

And yup, I'm thinking replica Vette wheels, because of the price. Either that or knockoff TTM's in Anthracite.

What I have on my car is because it's what I like not because it's the "in" thing to have. These wheels were $99 each from Discount tire on sale. You can't get the chrome anymore, only the machine and painted finish version. If you do your research on backspacing you won't have an issue with wheel fitment. I'm just tired of everyone on this site that knocks anyone for trying something different. It seems like if you don't have ZR1s, Z06's or some other "popular" wheel you're not cool. I can't count the number of threads where someone asks an opinion on something different and gets bashed to hell for asking or thinking outside the box. I modified my car to MY liking, not anyone elses.

sorry, but how is them bashing someone who posts something that they don't like any different from you calling them lemmings? it's the same thing, just in reverse. it's just another way for you to bash them for their choice.

if it really bothered people that much that others bash them for their choices, they wouldn't post it in the first place.....at least not if they've frequented ANY forum on the internet within the past decade or so......

on another note, those wheels you have are pretty clean, and definitely different.
