Rim size
Rim size how wide of a rim do I need to run say a tire from 300-315? I am ashamed to say I currently have 215's on the el camino and when It comes time to change the rear out figured I'd change the tire size too.
I will probably just have my current rims widend to the size i need. TIA , PS i know nothing about tires. lol

Ok so if i had my rims widend to 11 inches I could run the width i want. I currently run 215\60\14 I think. I dont have the car with me so cant go look. What would I be looking for If i wanted a wider tire. I cant seem to find what I'm looking for searching on tire websites.

I tried some 245's and they rubbed the outer wheel well's so I need either a shorter rear axle or a different offset which i can get I'm sure.

Ya I agree, but then again. I dont see 14in tires at all lol... but IMO he shouldnt need as wide of a wheel, if he has more sidewall. I'd go with a 15in wheel as well.

thats the best pic i have of them right now, I picked them up with meat for $200. maybe I should part ways with them when I get to the point of reworking my suspension?
