275s on a 8.5" wheel?

275s on a 8.5" wheel? How borderline is it to run a 275 tire on an 8.5" rim? Am I just looking at it bulging a bit, Is it going to be a safety hazard? Or just affect the wear and traction and whatnot? Ive seen a few people do it, but havent seen a good pic of how it looks mounted.
Long story short I ordered a set of wheels, and at the time they didnt have the proper 8.5" front wheel, so they were going to send me two 9.5 rears instead, and id have to run a spacer on the front... So with that, I went ahead and ordered a set of 275 Vredestein tires... And then of course the 8.5 fronts became available, and now I might be stuck with a tire too wide... Any thoughts?
