wheel problem....
rears are 18x9 with 5.0 bs
fronts are 18x8 with 4.5 bs
the rear stick out a bit but i can handle thay, the big problem is the fronts stick out too. The car has aftermarket drilled and slotted rotors, my question is can I take the rotors off and chuck them up in an engine laithe and take a little meat off of the mounting service and still be safe?? I have heard of ford guys doing it on mustangs but didnt know if this was a good idea, thought about taking some meat off the rim but I have a good chunk of change in them to be messing them up. please give me some ideas
the only thing is......the amount coming off will me minimul.....right.....so will this be able to be seen by the eye when the wheels are back on the car......
Fourth Gen wheels can be put on Third Gens, with adapters.
The offsets / back space are off.
And no you cannot machine the face of the rotor hat.
The 8" wheel you list has most likely a 0 mm offset . . where it would need to be about 25 mm or a 5.5" bs . . .
The 9" wheel sounds like it has 0 mm offset where it would need to be about 38 mm or about 6.5" of bs . . .
