front drag wheel question
front drag wheel question i ordered baer 6 piston front brakes and it requires a min of 18inch wheel im looking to buy drag wheels so i can stay with 15's in the back but does anyone run a 18 inch skinny in the front? or is it safe?
You're out of luck. The brakes that you ordered will be a very nice road race package but no good for drag racing. You've gone to the road racing extreme were there is no turning back.
If you want improved braking and still able to run drag wheels, I would have considered using upgraded rotors/pads.

They are too large; the caliper overhang is too great. Some people think that purchasing bigger brakes which dissipate heat better and have a higher stopping force is a better choice...actually, they will just skid more on the track with a skinny wheel.
The LS1 brakes are actually a very good brake compared to the typical OEM brake package. Like mentioned, you’ve got a very good road race oriented setup which is designed to be the best for the job in hand…which does not include drag racing.

I wouldn't go above stock. If you went to a C5 setup...that would be about the largest that you can go.
