I can't help but laugh at that. Some poor grammar teacher failed.....

315 is a measurement; 315mm, so the width of all 315s will be the same, with only slight variation in physical treat width resulting from composition and width of wheel that it's mounted to.

That's pretty ignorant. Go to Summit and actually look at the info on different tires. All of them will have different tread and section widths. Just because they are a 315 doesn't mean they are all the same.

I have BFG's and they look like they have the greatest section widths.

wrong. compare Nitto 315s to BFG 315s.....they all alightly vary from one another, with Nittos usually being way smaller than the others.

damn right he will... just get an 11" wheel if you want a 315. Nice looking car btw, like the black with the graphite ZR1s.

Goodyear GS-D3's are generally the "widest" 315's you can get.

Default Nittos

Yea when my buddy first bought his Fikse FM5's he had the Good Years on there, but when it came time to replace them he didn't want to sheel out the extra cash so he went with a pair of Nitto DR's and they were noticably skinnier. Doesn't matter now though he only put a few hundred miles on them and took them off to trade his car in, wish I could afford to buy them from him.

Yes, one is half an inch wider

But seriously, if you are wondering if you can put a 315 on a 10.5" wheel, it has been done on here specifically with the TT-M wheels (not sure why they don't just do 11", you bring up a good point, but who the hell knows why they skip the last half inch). There was a post a while back by someone I believe with "kid" in their user name, comparing the GS-D3 315 tire to another 315, and it was unreal the difference. Sorry I can't be more specific, but it should be on here somewhere.

Yeah, the GS-D3's are probably the widest 315 you can get. I had them on my Mustang and they looked more like 335's or 345's or something (on a 10.5 inch wheel).
