Ultimate Straight Line Tire I know this has been asked before, but searches yield very conflicting responses and most ofthe time inaccurate. So now this is the definitive post on what tires to get just fro drag racing that can still be drivin to the track.
So what is the best DOT drag radial for jsut straight-line blasts. These will be mounted on my stock 16x8 rims and driven only to the track.

Re: Ultimate Straight Line Tire Lots of people drive carefully on ET Streets to the track, hell some use them as their daily driver tires.
Not sure you can beat them for tires you can drive to the track, albeit they are not meant for highway use.

Re: Ultimate Straight Line Tire Nitto's 555R's Extreme Drags!!! Best street/strip tire that lasts a little while too. BFG's hook better, but last about half as long if you are easy on them!

Re: Ultimate Straight Line Tire I have seen 1.6X 60 foots on my BFG DRs, and that was even back when all I had was a TC and bolt-ons.
My Nitto DRs do not hook as well on launch as my BFGs by any means (both 275/40/17 tires). However, Nittos make a much better street tire.
