Thinking about putting slicks and skinnies on my car. I am wondering what kind of time savings I would get from putting them on my car. My current setup is Chrome Firehawks on the front and 16 inch firebird wheels with mickey thompsons.

I don't have any traction probs with my current set-up. I am just looking for time savings.


Will it be worth the money to do it??

Usually about 0.15 seconds if you already have traction on the current stock wheels. They help with rolling resistance, rotating mass reduction.

I am assuming that you are talking about a 1/4. I guess one other major factor in this is that the mismatched wheels looks damn ugly. I tried running Mickeys on some spare 17" firehawk wheels this past weekend, but I couldn't get get it to hook as well as the 16's.
