Default HELP!!chrome z06

i left my chrome z06's on all winter and they have all this gunk on them and i can get it off for the life of me! what harsh stuff can i use? and with a sos/ brillo pad scratch the hell out of them?

don't brillo them, bad idea

I used to use meguiar's gold class chrome wheel cleaner and it worked well. I think they've recently replaced it with hot rims chrome wheel cleaner. Might try that stuff.

I've used the brilla presoaped pads you can buy at the store for my exhaust tips, but those are stainless. I'm not so sure about using them on chrome, might scratch them easily.

I am willing to bet they are rusting from the inside out from salt on the roads.

+1 on the hot wheels chrome cleaner by meguiars. stuff is awesome i recommend it to all my friends with chrome rims
