What size DR's?

What size DR's? Im gonna be gettin some DR's, probably nitto 555r's. I was wandering what how wide of a tire i should get. I'm gonna put them on my stock 17's and only use them at the track....do i really need 315's?
Looking into this too. I want to run the 315s on a 9" rim I know its not suggested but the nittos run pretty small IMHO. A buddy of mine had the 275s on 9" rims and they looked small compared to his front tires and he had kumhos on the front. He hooked alright but wasn't nearly as modded as my car is.
Dunno, I have seen pics of the 315s on 9" rims and it looked fine, but everyone flames it. Guess I'll have to wait and see in a few weeks when I get the tires. Worst case I'll have to order a set of 11s for the rear
