eagle f1 gs-d3 beats the bfgs easily and the nitto won't get you any mileage.

I think that in the Bay Area you can drive a summer tire like the KDW pretty much year round. They might be a little slick on cold nights. But if you take your car up to Tahoe or anywhere it gets really cold, I'd get the Super Sport A/S.

i have had the KDW tires on my DD for the past 2 years (around 30k miles on them). I haven't had any issues, there not drag radials but i think they do pretty good. I have driven from CA to FL then FL to CA and didn't have a single issue, these tires can take a beating

For street driving, KDW's all the way. I'll never run Nittos again as long as the car's a DD (then I'll just go with MT's lol).

If you want to hook on the street and make decent power go with the Nitto 555Rs. I haven't heard of a better hooking radial that wears like they do or have decent traction in the wet. Nitto DRs are do-able in the rain, just be careful in heavy downpoors and deep puddles on the road. In a normal rain you'll be ok, just slow down some and don't be stupid. They're going to be the best all around decent hooking tire that'll last you much longer than any other drag radial. I've had a couple friends get 12-15K miles out of a set. I had some on my 99 and just ordered some in for near DD duty for my 98. Got a spare set of rims with MTs going on them when they release the size I'm looking for again.

I would say the BFG KDW's, I have them right now and they are really good for on the street and at the track. The Nitto's wont give you any mileage too. :/

you are going to actually get better milage outta the nittos compared to the BFG's since the rubber compound is more stiff and harder to lite up compared to the BFG's

Since it's a DD I would go with the 555's.

glad somebody posted this. im also looking for a good street tire that can hook and last longer than and be safer to drive than some DR.. plus my car will never ever see the track at all. im thinking of doing goodyear F1's but they are too damn expensive.
