Problem with my C5 Z06 OEM wheels...
I know this subject has been covered, and I did a search, but I would appreciate some feedback on my unique situation.
I have a 2001 WS6 and I recently got a steal on an OEM set up C5 Z06 wheels front and rear.
When I installed these, I used the BFH and hammered out the rear fender walls. Jacked the car up by the axle, slid the rims on to avoid jounce bumper impact, and everything looked good. There was a fingertip worth of room for the wheels from any rubbing, and everything else looked clear.
However, after taking a few fast turns, or when the rear end got a lil squirly from big shifts at WOT, i heard a little rubbing on what i figures is the fender wall. So this weekend I added an adjustable panhard rod and set it up to the stock size.
Problem is, when I make these hard turns (noticed on the driver-rear side during right turns.... left and passenger side rear seems ok) and some WOT crazyness, I still hear some rubbing or some grinding.
Do I need to make some adjustment to the panhard? Do i need to fire up the BFH and do a lil more work on the fender walls? Is there something I'm missing here?
Thanks for the help guys.
