Ordered MT 295/45R/17 DR's
Ordered MT 295/45R/17 DR's Summit says anticipated ship date is June 1st. Mickey Thompson folks say late June ... does Summit Racing know something that Mickey Thompson folks aren't saying????
Either way, I sure look forward to getting them in my hands and on the car ... a much more streetable tread pattern, little extra width, a little taller tire .... same R2 compound as the regular Street Drag Radial.
Anybody else ordered these? If so, and you get yours frist ... report back on them?

great size... i have it on a customers car... summit does that so people order them... then about a week before the date they delay it another 3 weeks... and they keep doing that...

It could be that 07/01 was the original ship date and they just haven't updated their website yet. That's common among vendor website, as well. Either way, I sure look forward to getting them on my car.
I was thinking maybe they will be available to ship June 1st and that MT was just telling everyone mid-late June just to ensure a bunch a folks were not disappointed if something held up the earlier expected production/ship date.

I order a set almost two months ago and finally cancelled my order. I can bet you good money there is no way you'll see that tire before mid june, and probably not till after june.
The first time I ordered the guy said they had them in stock, when I called back after a week they weren't in stock but it would be a 1 week wait. The third time I called it was backordered till June...

Yeah, I called Summit yesterday and was told that no matter when you ordered, the ship by date is for everybody. Reasoning I was told is the Mickey Thompson Tire Company has to wait on the gov't to achieve certification for DOT-approval. I just ordered a pair of BFG DR's from JEG's to hold me over. My MT Dr's are nearly bald.
