Default Feedback on Vredesteins?

I just picked up some 275/35/18's for the rear and was wondering if anybody has some feedback on them yet? I'm about a month away from getting my car back on the road and search didn't give me much. I saw where someone compared then to F1's.

So any real world result and how much horsepower are you putting down?

I've heard that they are GREAT tires for the money, but still don't match the performance from the higher end BFGs or Goodyear GSD3s... I have also heard that the tires run pretty narrow.. I think that they definitely have a good looking tread pattern though..

Ive just had them mounted on thursday so not to much to review yet. I can tell you they have made my camaro ride much smoother with less bump steer. Ive also taken off hard a couple of times and they grip pretty well. I have pics on my webpage that show the width of the 315's.
I previously had pirelli Pzero Nero's and they sucked all around except they lasted a real long time. They were like riding on hockey pucks they were so hard. I think Im gonna stick with the vredesteins for a while.

i have also heard they run narrow. which would work in my favor as i want to put the 295/35/18 tires on a set of 18x9.5 rims.

I have 275-35/18 frt and 295-35/18 but i only have a few hundred miles on them,i know i took a corner real fast and the rear broke loose, but that could be because they're new.I've read a few reports that say its a good tire, but when they're new they don't track as well as slightly used. Also can spin them quite easily from a roll, but at least they look nice.Like i said after i run them a little ,i'm sure they'll get better[IMG][/IMG]

I just wanted to let you know I have the Vredestein tires on front and back of a2002 WS6 for a week and have been very impressed with them. They replaced a set of Michelin Pilot Sports that I considered the best tires. But, since 2 Michelin's had flats, rather than spend about $800.00 for the two tires I decided to go for the C6ZO6 chrome rims with the Vredestein tires staggered, 17" in front, 18" on rear from one of our sponsers, TomzWheels. The Vred's produce less road noise , produce a better ride over beat up roads, handle curves extremely well, and have a good stop time. Took it to the track today and again was very impressed with the tires. Decent burn-out, and on my stock motor was able to pull 104 mph/ 1/4 mile. I have the 295's on the 18" rims in back and had some rubbing issues at first on inside fender well. I was able to solve that with the adjustable panhard bar. I like these tires alot, better than the Mich's, and definetely better than the BF Goodrich. Sorry about the long post but you did ask for feedback !

I have had Vredesteins on my ride for a while now. 275 front 315 rear. I think they are great tires for the money and i have no complaints yet. i have even driven them in the rain cornering at 65+ and have no had thm break loose on me yet. They handle really well and put down some good rubber. I would reccomend them, especialy for the price and that they look really good on too.

Based on what I've read, I'd say they are a tire for the DD'ers who still like to use their car spiritedly. If you have 10.5 inch rear wheels, I'd say you better go with 315s as the tires run narrow.

Another user on this forum has his Camaro setup with Ved 315s all around...

Thanks guys. I didn't want to get a drag radial yet since I'm still sporting the stock rear, but I do want to keep some grip since it's a DD. I should be pushing 500-550 rwhp after I get the car done. As far as breaking loose in the turns I plan on watching it anyway cause I had a set of seasoned goodyears do that to me when the car was just bolt-ons and a stalled. I would rather of had the 315's but got too good of a deal on the 275's. Keep'em coming and I'll add some feedback also when I get the exhaust done and get it tuned.

I've had them on for over 2 months now. I am completely satisfied with them although I haven't had an opportunity to try them in any kind of heavy rain situation.

I'm with Blue. About 3 mo now. Compared to what I was running (Kumho Ecsta ASX) they are a much smoother ride, quieter, and they handle very well, both wet and dry. Broke loose easy when new, now they grip very well. I will agree with a previous poster, nice for DD folks who like to play. Also, love the looks and price. (315's in the back)

A friend has 'em and I drove the car when they were still new. My impressions were that they rode really nicely and did break loose easily. He says they handle the wet very well.
