the only thing going up from a 275 to a 285 in back is going to do is throw your (already inaccurate) speedometer off....you're not really going to notice any traction gain from that small of an increase, and proabably won't even be able to see the difference, either.

but that brings to attention what i said about the 315's, those definitely won't work on a 9.5" wheel....they will require a 10.5" wheel to fit.
as long as the overall tire height is the same, you'd have to start getting into 19" wheels or higher before real issues with ride quality start coming into play, and even then, 19's can be set up to still ride good.....you'll be ok with 17's/18's
