ok I have the stock chrome stock 16" z28 wheels on my car....I need tires badly..I'm going to upgrade rims later but for now I need tires because threads are showing.......I want a tire that is wider than stock but a size that doesn't look stupid.....pics would be great thanks

you can go with a 255/50/16 there a little wider ......till u upgrade

Just my $0.02 worth...I always thought the 245/50s were a bit wide for the OE wheels to start with. Going even wider probably wouldn't help your handling, if that's a priority for you. Secondly, unless you plan on going with a CCW, HRE, or other 3 pc. wheel, I think your choice of 16" wheels to "uprade" to in the future would be limited.
