Wheel Studs!
Wheel Studs! Well, I was cleaning the Camaro Saturday morning after a Friday night of drag racing, and when I was cleaning the wheels I noticed that the lug nuts on the rear were cocked to the side. So to be sure after I was done washing the car I jacked up the rear and removed the wheel. Sure enough, the wheel studs are bent over slightly, and before anyone says it, I had the lug nuts torque'd to 90 ft lbs.
This is also the worst timing because I haven't been getting traction and someone from the track is bringing me 28"x11.5" slicks on 16" rims this coming Friday. I'm pretty sure that the wheel hop that I was getting is the cause studs to bend. Is this a common problem, and where can I get some good studs FAST?
