ok, well i have C6 Z06 replica wheels on all four corners and there all 17X8.5 the current tire on all four wheels are 245/45/r17. i just hate how thin the width of my rear wheels look but its too late i wish i would have bought wider rims for the rear. well I currently dont have money for new rear wheels so i want to make my rear wheels look wider. whats the biggest tire size i can fit that will make my 17X8.5 look widest as can be out back? 255/45/r17? dont know much about tire sizing so pics or any help would be appreciated.

Well, according to the sticky, yes....255 is the widest for that rim.

8.5" ..... +38 to +45 mm .... 235, 245, 255

Send the 2 back rims off to get them widened about 2.5 inches and throw some 315's on the car.
