larger rims will there be a problem

Question larger rims will there be a problem

i have the base model 16 inch Trans Am rims and i wanted to put 18 in the rear and 17 in the front will i have a problem with the Traction Control Sensor or the Speedometer or the ABS sensor? or anything else....

if you run tires in the front that are a different height than the rear your will. The ABS will see that the rears are spinning at a different speed than the front when you apply the brakes slight harder than usual.

Pretty much correct. So, if you put 17s on the front, and 18s on the rear, you need to mount tires that are close to the same in OD.

Like everyone else said, keep the aspect ratio even and you will be OK.

Example
16x8 stock = 245/50/16

17x8 = 245/45/17
17x9 = 275/40/17

18x8 = 245/40/18
18x9 = 275/35/18
18x10.5+ 315/30/18

I have Y2K wheels on mine with a 275/40/17 up front and a 275/40/18 out back with no problems.
