Default Nitto DR's on DD?

How do DR's hold up on a daily driver? I'm not really concerned about the life issue, but I'm bringing my TA out to D.C. in the spring and am going to use the car as my daily driver. How will the tires do for the occasional rain? I've driven in the rain a few times, even the snow once Not that I want to do it again, but I did. I have a light foot (when needed) but I know with the tread depth on DR's it's easier to hydro-plane and the best driver in the world can't do anything about it. So yeah, anyone ever have DR's on a daily driver?

As long as they have good tread.. Nitto DR do well in the rain. After about 50% tread you'll have to slow down for real wet conditions.

nitto's are great in the rain. they are more of a sticky street tire than anything. just watch out when they start going bald because less treat = less wet traction.
