Stripped out a Lugnut Wheel Lock?

Stripped out a Lugnut Wheel Lock? Long story short was trying to change out to slicks and stripped out the cheapy wheel locks. Can't reach over it with a big Socket and use a ratchet. How can I get it off?

If you mean by big socket wont reach, that only a thin wall socket will fit?
Then you got trouble.
Without see'n it it hard to say, But I have welded a bolt to lug & then spun it off.

Re: Stripped out a Lugnut Wheel Lock? I guess a last resort would be removing the axle. I think it's possible even with the wheel still on. You would have to disconnect the brake line from the caliper because the caliper won't come off if the wheel is still on. Once you get the axle out I think you could cut off the stud with the bad nut and just get a new one. It should work, might be something I missed though

Re: Stripped out a Lugnut Wheel Lock? I accidently stripped a locking lug one time on an older 3rd gen one time and I used one of those sockets that look like an eight pointed star or something and I used onea bit smaller and pounded it on with a good ole sledge. Bam came right off.
