Well here goes, C6 Z06 with 20" 360Forged wheels all around and Nitto Invo 345-25-20 rubber at the back.
Im looking for ANY method to gain traction, whether tires/wheels, suspension, aerodynamics anything!!
Thing is I did a few 1st gear runs today, and I know how to roll on the throttle but that thing was just asking to break loose with with the extra long Z06 1st gear ratio (btw stock Z06).
2nd gear was getting a little funny as well, although my previous Z with 19" Nitto Invos had 100% 2nd gear traction even with a supercharger and 600rwhp.
Question is, are 20" REALLY that bad for traction? I know they are bad, but how bad. Also the new ZR1 is coming in a 20/19 combination, ideas?
This is a 100% street car that will never see a track, so whats my best deal at gaining traction? Can anyone recommend a list of parts or things that I could do to insure I plant that power to the ground. FYI boost will come in by gear so im not asking to plant 1000rwhp in 1st gear lol, id rather spin than break parts.

tall wheels with thin tires makes them stiff, you can really drop the pressure without destroyin the sidewalls. but 20s on a vette :/, id drop it a inch of two on rim size and run a decent drag radial. Haha but then again 1000hp looks better in huge black lines behind you

get 18"sx10 or anything in the front, then get 18x12's in the back. Then get Mickey Thompson or any brand 305/35/18 drag radial or 315/35/18. Sell your forged 20" pretty wheels and you get some cash back in your pocket (not like you need it but hey)...AND also solved your traction problem as well. Your car must be crazy, nice ride and setup man. All you dubai guys must be filthy rich huh
, i wanna move there and see how quickly i can become a billionaire
Message me and tell me what to do and how to do it please!!! Thanks
Sincerely,
Poor american guy with a turbo mullet-mobile

You aren't going to hook on the street with 1000hp.
You could get CCW's drag pack. It consists of 16x10s in the rear with some 28x12.50-16 slicks, and 17x4s in the front with about a 26x4.5-17 to clear your brakes.
Or get some 18x12-13s in the rear with either BFG or Mickey Thompson 345/30-18 drag radials.
You'll still spin them, but that's your best bet.
