dvd/cd wiring
dvd/cd wiring I just got a Dual XDVD710 for real cheap and I wanted to know if I can install it WITHOUT removing the whole shifter console, any help would be appreciated, and p.m. me if need be, thanks
I'm not sure why you think you would need to remove the shifter assembly, unless you're referring to a different car rather than your Trans Am. Otherwise you just need to remove the trim piece around the radio (pops right out). About 4 screws holding the radio in, take those out. You'll need a resize kit and a wiring harness to fit the new radio in. Wire it up and put it back in.

its for a dvd/cd player so as far as i know it requires you to wire to the ebrake to work, unless wiring a toggle switch would allow me to bypass wiring to the ebrake, basically what i was wondering, blindxeyed you have pm
it's a dual. take it back! when I worked at the blue box, we returned more of that brands products than we ever sold. price equates to quality when it comes to mobile electronics! if you're wantin' a screen in your car, look for a higher quality unit my friend. you'll be much happier, i promise!!
but if you must...pull the shifter plate, pull the lower console (not necessary but makes life easy), if i remember...it's a light blue single wire in some split loom connected directly to the parking brake handle.
