Default E30 Error Code CD Changer?

So my 95 Trans Am has a tape deck and the 12 CD Changer in the trunk. It would have been nice if the CD changer worked but it doesn't. I put a CD in and all I get is a display of E30. I'm sure it's some sort of error code. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You probably have the discs in the wrong way. The GM changer takes the discs label side down unlike almost every other changer ever made.

The Errors Codes are listed in the Monsoon FAQ at the top of this section.

Here is a link to the Monsoon FAQ:

You were right, that's exactly what I did! It would never have occurred to me that they needed to be loaded label side down.

Anyway, thanks again! I was ready to buy a new stereo for my bird!

I had the same problem, i thought it was just because they were burned CD's but we had put them in label side up, burned CD's will work with the 12 disc CD changer
