JL Audio Stealth Box Bought a JL Audio stealth box with a 10" sub in it. It goes in flush up against the right rear quarter panel, have to remove spare and jack, to better understand where it goes. Does anyone else have one? How did u put it in there? Did u cut that peice that you remove to get to your spare to fit the box in there? I have an 95 Z28 w/ t-tops. I got the stealh box so I can store my t-tops back there. Anyone ever seen this setup, have any suggestions or have this setup are all welcome to answer just want to know what I should do.

They do make the ones that go in the right side and you have to remove all that ****. They say you gotta get a new plastic peice back there on the left side if you have the factory monsoon sub back there.
Re: JL Audio Stealth Box you're right about the passenger side one. You have to relocate the jack & spare. I don't know of any pieces made to repalce the factory plastic. I just cut mine to reveal the sub.

Re: JL Audio Stealth Box MTXs is also for the drivers side but not near the quality of the JL Audio. Another small manufacter makes one for the passanger side but why would you want to put it on that side when you dont have to cut anything on the drivers side besides alittle carpet.

Re: JL Audio Stealth Box Im just an idiot, I allready bought one and it is the one for the drivers side, its actually in the mail on its way now. I guess some people need more thump and put one on both sides.
Re: JL Audio Stealth Box Actually having them fire at one another is not the best because the sound waves are pushing against one another and create alot of turbulance in the sound waves. For the amount of money you would spend putting 2 subs in the output would not be that much greater maybe not even noticeble. Your best bet would be to double your wattage to the one sub on the driver side.

Re: JL Audio Stealth Box Yea I wasnt gunna get both of them I'm fine with the one I dont want alot of added weight too. There are ways you can set them up so that they hit in a way that they kinda help each other out like one hits while the other one is going back in. Or something like that, im not a big car stero guy but i've seen setups where they work together.
