alpine ida x100 install problem help

i got this for christmas with a schoshe installation kit. i followed all the directions on connected all the right wires an wen i turn it on i get no sound everything works but i get no sound

if you are sure of your wiring,
try the audio settings on the stereo.

yes i finally did apparently they sent the harness that wasnt for the monsoon system and that wasnt letting me get sound

That's interesting considering that the Monsoon system uses the same harness that worked on almost all GM models from 88 through 02. I think they used that as an excuse to cover some other mistake.

idk but i figured out that that all i needed to do was hook up the remote wire to some other wire that didnt have anything going into the harness but after that it worked
