Default CDT crossovers

I just picked up some CDT CL-61CV's from Kee. Are you guys installing the CDT crossovers when using the stock Monsoon amp and HU? Will it still sound acceptable using the stock crossovers? ....Car is '98 Trans Am btw

If you have a camaro with the stock monsoon amp then do not use the CDT crossovers. You have a channel dedicated to each component, use them.

As vjo90rs8 said, you have separate wiring for the mids and tweeters (both Camaro and Firebird). Crossovers are designed to take a single channel (pair of wires) and split the signal between two speaker components. Your factory wiring already has high-pass filters for the tweeters and they do a fairly good job. I have CDT components in my doors and I am pleased with the way they work with the factory wiring.

Right, I now do remember reading the tweeters are powered by the HU, mids by the amp... I'll hang on to those crossovers for future updates.

Thanks!
