Escort 8500 Problem

I have been having a problem with my 8500 X50 giving me false Laser readings whenever i give the car a little bit of gas. Has anyone else had this problem? I've had the radar in my car for the past 5 years and just within the past year its been giving me all sorts of problems.

I have that same radar and heve never had any problems like that. Try and contact Escort and see if you can send it in to them to have it checked out.

Or just turn off the laser option and see what happens.

I get that too from time to time. Happens at the most random times, I may even be in my driveway and it might happen. Not often. I've seen no pattern either.

Back when i had my formula I had an 8500, and from what I could gather, the heat just caused it to go loony from time to time. Do you leave yours on the windshield at all times? I recently got a 9500ix, and it is awesome.
