Default Viper alarm wire lengthening

I have a Viper alarm installed by a pro shop. They ran the wires under the hood to the siren and the wires are fairly tight. I want to move the position of the siren but do not know if it is ok to cut the wires and lengthen them. Would doing this cause any problems with the alarm and the warranty of the alarm?

definitely nothing wrong with extending a wire. Viper gives you wire but it is definitely not a "one size fits all" wiring harness. You should cut and extend where necessary. When I installed my alarm, I extended wires when they needed to be, and shorted other wires for a cleaner install.

you won't have an issue adding some length. Just don't cut both wires at the same time, otherwise you risk shorting it out. If your gonna extend it from under the hood, I'd recommend soldering them in place of the easy butt connectors.
