where to mount crossover?

If it's flat enough, you can mount it inside the door on the bottom furthest to the front. Just make sure it doesn't interfere with the window rolling all the way down.

I shoved mine way back in the doors. Right now they are sitting at the bottom of the door just a little further back from the center. My window system is aftermarket though so it may not be the same for you.

I fit them inside the door panel, but I don't have it dynamatted. Out of curiosity, which model Focal components did you get. I have their base model, 165A1's in the doors and 165CA1's in the back, on an Alpine amp. They sound awesome, so I can only imagine what the higher models sound like.
