Default Largest 12" for Rear Hatch Box??

A while ago I took out JL W3's because they were blown. They rocked for 5 years. Now I'm lookin for new 12's but I really don't know how to tell what magnet will get hung up on the lip of this box. Anyone have a box similar? Can you tell me what you guys know will fit? I'm lookin at the W6V2's, but the mag looks huge!!

How deep do you have until hitting the lip, and how wide is the lip?

It's hard to gauge. The mounting hole is 11 inches in diameter. From the edge of the mounting hole, straight down is like about an inch till you hit that slope (passenger side). Now if you travel to about a 10 inch diameter straight down it's more like 2 inches. You get the idea. The JLW3V2 will definitely NOT fit on the passenger side as the mounting depth requires over 7 inches. The notch on the right side just isn't enough clearance.

I think what I'll do is go to a local shop that's willing to throw a speaker in there to see what will fit. Hopefully I don't have to run away from a salesman!

The alternative is to get a box from subthump.com

Is that box easy to remove? I frequent the track so I need something that can easily come out. I wouldn't see it being more difficult to remove than the box I have, but I just want to be sure.

What kinda amp do you have on that?

I'm not about to look for subwoofers for you without even having dimensions, but Peerless XLS should work, and have about the same Xmax as a 12w3v3.

It's not too bad to remove, it's a tight fit so sometimes you have to wiggle it to pull it out, I have a jl 500/1 running to it and it sounds great.

Yeah it's cool man. I wasn't asking anyone to do that. I was just seeing if anyone had this box since it is so common for F-body cars. I don't really know how to take 3D dimensions. You got any suggestions?

All we need is the depth to the "bumps" and how wide they are (out from the side)
