Security light flashing!!! and no start
Security light flashing!!! and no start Ok guy i need your help bad. My car doesnt start at all. I go to turn it over, which the lights/guages/radio etc all works, but doesnt turn over to start. I mean nothing! I notice my security light is flashing and doesnt go away. It was driving fine yesterday with no issues, just once i shut it off and rolled it in the garage that was it. I checked the fuses, ground connections, everything that i can think of.
What do you guys think it is that would cause it to not start? I have a new battery and alternator so i now it have good voltage. That starter never gave me problems so i doubt it just suddenly went bad. Could it be the VATS or something with the key? If so how can i bypass it? I need HELP ASAP because this is my daily driver. thanks in advance

ok so i went to the dealership and they all said most likely its the ignition cylinder not reading the coding on the key. They even tested the key and both are w itorking and giving a reading of code 8 (even my spare that has never been used)
So if the code for the key is 8, then does that mean 8k ohm reading? Because i want to try and bypass it. Would this link below be the right place to bypass it also?

HELL YEAH!!! it worked!! im soooo glad it fired up. Didnt want to spend all that money for parts.
Whitebird00, thanks for the ohms reading. Got everything at Radioshack and took about 45 minutes work. Was nervous at first because i hate electrical work, just took my time and solder everything and electrical taped it when finished.
