where exactly is the braided engine to chassis wire
The charging system needs to be tested by a shop. A large test load is put on the system to see if the alternator can handle it. I suppose if you knew someone an o'scope they could check the output of your alternator for stepped DC if my memeory isn't too shot thats the result of only half of your rectifier working.
