Convert from Power to Stubby Antenna?

Convert from Power to Stubby Antenna? Broke my powered antenna and apparently lost the mast. The black base on the exterior is still there.
How do I go about mounting a non-powered stubby antenna to that base?
How do I hook up the antenna wire to the stubby antenna?

Well, you'd have to buy the parts for a Camaro fixed mast for the mount.
Do you know that you can get replacement power masts? They will probably run you less than what you need to put a fixed mount together.
You can also install a hidden antenna and skip all the stuff in the back.

After a while I took off the original antenna shown in the first pic and added a lil longer antenna which I like better:
