Wire the switch inline in the pink wire from the back of the radio. This is the wire that provides power when the radio is on to raise the antenna and keep it up. When the power is cut (by shutting off the car or by opening your switch), the antenna goes down.

Putting a switch in like that will mean that the antenna will work normally when the switch is on (antenna will go up or down when the radio is turned on or off). The antenna will go down and stay down when the switch is off.

Here you go. Did this with mine but had to order the convertable plate since I have traction control. Works great.

Use a flat tool such as a small screwdriver or kitchen knife (wrapped with a cloth to prevent scratching) to pry the trim piece from around the radio and heater/AC controls. It is held on by three or four clips around the sides. Once the trim piece is removed you can remove the screws holding the radio using a 7mm socket. Then just slide the radio out of the dash so that you can get at the wiring connector on the back. You may have to reach around the back of the radio and unplug the antenna lead from the lower right side in order to be able to pull the radio far enough out (don't forget to plug it in again when you put it back together).
