It's called a "tire pressure monitoring system" or TPMS for short and there are companies like Hella and Orange Electronics that manufacture aftermarket systems. I have not tried the aftermarket ones but you can find impressions from people on various forums and such with Google.

I 'll steal my own thread here.
whats the feasibility of controlling the convertible top with an after market remote/alarm system similar to higher end cars such as MB, BMW etc.
Theoretically 2 window modules can be used for the moon roof to open and close just like the regular door windows.
Can the convertible top be controlled in the same way or will it require something completely custom or even a different alarm than i already have.
