Default Speaker replacement question

The speaker next to the rear seat is blown out in my 99 T/A. It is a 6.5" speaker. I bought some cheap SONY Explode speakers just so I could have something in there. The old speaker and the new speakers are both 4 ohms but when I hook it up I only seem to get the bass sound from it and not good sound at that. The speakers I bought are 4-way speakers, is the stock speaker in that location a subwoofer and could this be my problem????

Please help

Yes, the stock sail panel speakers in a Monsoon system are subs and they get low-pass filtered signal from the amp.

Read the Monsoon FAQ sticky for more information about your system.

I just read the Monsoon FAQ's a little closer and I see what is happening. Thanks again for the info.
